Sustainability in Art: An Interview

Henry Clark from the Apricus Art Collection invited me to join their platform last fall, and in January 2025, we sat down for an interview. Henry writes:

This episode of Apricus Weekly features Timothy deVries, a Canadian painter whose art blends historical genres with a commitment to environmental stewardship. Based near Hamilton, Timothy’s journey began two decades ago in a student house basement and has since grown into a dedicated practice emphasizing artistic growth and sustainability. From repurposed materials to his involvement with Hamilton’s vibrant art scene, Timothy’s work reflects both his passion for painting and his responsibility to the environment. Join us as we discuss his self-taught beginnings, his solo exhibitions, and the enduring impact of creating art that lasts.

The interview can be accessed as a video on Youtube and as a podcast on Spotify. I am grateful to Henry for this opportunity to share my voice.
